Where to Live, in the City or in the Country

The dream to live in the city has been changed recently. More and more people choose to go to the country at the weekend. It’s obvious that living in the country is more and more preferable.

Many people appreciate the convenience and colorful life in the city. The city has better transportation service and health care. City dwellers can easily enjoy themselves in restaurants, department stores and concert halls. They are well-informed about what is going on at home and abroad, and have access to better education, better jobs and more opportunities for business. Besides, they can enjoy various kinds of entertainments. However, country life is more attractive, especially today after having experienced the fog and haze days endangering the modern life. With the fresh air, the green trees and the singing birds, country people are close to nature and live a quiet and healthy life. They can make friends with simple and honest people or wander about leisurely without any pressure upon their minds.

As far as I am concerned, I hate the terrible dirt and noise in the city. So, given the chance, I would prefer to live peacefully in the country.
